We’re opening a new chapter in Germany - and you’ll be at the heart of it.
For our new German HQ in Hamburg, we’re looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager who will build, shape, and fully own the HR function locally. You’ll work in close alignment with our Headquarter in Vienna and report directly to the Teamlead HR Operations Europe.
Own operational HR in Germany :act as the main HR contact for all employees and managers at our Hamburg HQ and across our German retail stores.
Manage the full employee lifecycle : from contract preparation and onboarding to development conversations, contractual changes, and offboarding.
Ensure compliance : oversee all HR processes in line with German labor law, social security, and local regulations.
Payroll coordination : collaborate with external payroll providers and ensure accurate, timely processing.
Recruitment support : partner with hiring managers to fill our German HQ and retail roles and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
Build and optimize processes : set up scalable HR structures for a growing organization and align them closely with our HQ in Vienna.
Support leadership & retail operations : advise managers on employee matters, performance topics, and day-to-day HR challenges.
Your strengths and qualifications:
Solid HR background : several years of experience in operational HR, ideally as an HR Generalist or HR Manager in a growing or dynamic environment.
Strong labor law knowledge: confident handling German employment law, contracts, and compliance topics.
Hands-on & ownership mindset : you enjoy taking responsibility, working independently, and getting things done without waiting for perfect structures.
Process-oriented thinking : able to build, improve, and scale HR processes while staying pragmatic.
Strong communication skills: comfortable advising managers, handling sensitive topics, and building trust with employees at all levels.
Retail or multi-location experience (plus) – experience supporting store environments or decentralized teams is an advantage.
Language skills: fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
