Supply Chain Operations Manager - External Manufacturing (gn)

As an Supply Chain Operations Manager – External Manufactuting (gn) , you take on the leadership of the External Manufacturing supply and procurement operations team and own, end-to-end, the supply of externally manufactured and traded goods across the group's brands. You secure availability, proactively drive supplier capacity planning, and run a clean, well-governed purchase-order-to-invoice process in SAP. You act as the operational counterpart to Strategic Procurement and execute the inventory targets and policies set by Planning.

Your mission

• You lead, coach, and develop the external planners and order execution team, setting priorities, balancing workload, and building team capability, while owning hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• You own availability and supply performance for externally manufactured/traded goods across all brands
• You own the planning and execution of key suppliers' operations, ensuring demand reliably translates into supply, capacity, and replenishment
• You govern the end-to-end order-to-invoice process in SAP (PO, delivery, goods receipt, invoice, finance coordination)
• You establish proactive capacity planning with key external manufacturers and own supplier availability, lead-time, and risk management, driving mitigation measures
• You provide input on supplier selection and steer onboarding/ramp-up for innovations, together with Strategic Procurement
• You act as the operational counterpart to Strategic Procurement, feeding consolidated volumes and requirements into contracting and coordinating commercial topics/escalations
• You ensure operational execution stays aligned with contracted terms and conditions
• You define and track KPIs (availability/service level, supplier OTIF, PO cycle time, invoice accuracy, capacity coverage) and drive process standardisation with GPOs/Transformation Team and Master Data Lead
• You own SAP process quality and master data governance for external supply, partnering closely with Planning, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Logistics stakeholders

Your experience & skills

• You should hold a degree in supply chain, business, or engineering — or equivalent experience
• You bring 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement operations, or external manufacturing
• You have strong SAP expertise (MM, order-to-invoice); SAP APO/IBP is a plus
• You have a proven track record in supplier/capacity management and PO-to-invoice operations
• You demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• You speak good working-level German and business-fluent English, with solid German needed for close collaboration with Finance and end-to-end problem solving
• You bring an FMCG, food, nutrition, or supplements background
• you have experience managing co-manufacturing networks
• You have experience in transformation or process governance (S&OP/IBP, GPO operating models)
