German-speaking Customer Support Agent to Online Bank in Malta

Our client is growing their German-speaking team in Malta and is looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, understands sales, and wants to develop professionally, not just answer tickets forever.
This role combines customer service, sales, and financial operations, giving you a broad understanding of how a modern financial business actually runs.
The Role (Where service meets sales)
You’ll be part of the German team, working closely with your Team Leader and cross-functional departments like Payments and Collections. Your work sits right at the heart of the customer journey.
You will:
- Guide customers through onboarding and ensure documentation is handled correctly
- Support customers via phone, email and SMS with clear and professional communication
- Provide accurate information about financial products, services and payments
- Work actively with sales strategies. Not pushy selling, but smart, structured customer engagement
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth and transparent processes
- Help maintain a high-quality customer experience while staying compliant with regulations and company policies
Not just a support role
This position gives you insight into sales, operations, compliance, reporting and process development, which means you’re building skills that go far beyond “standard CS”.
You may also:
- Contribute to sales reporting
- Support training and mentoring of team members
- Help improve operational processes and procedures
- Take part in documenting workflows
- Get involved in ad hoc projects linked to new markets and business development

Requirements

You’re someone who combines structure with people skills.
- Fluent German and English (spoken & written)
- Experience in sales of financial or similar structured products
- Background in customer onboarding and document verification
- Strong communicator with a results-driven mindset
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with procedures
- Team player, but able to work independently
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
