Senior Event Manager (f/m/d)

The Head of Conference / Senior Event Manager is the strategic lead and operational driver responsible for the end-to-end success of adjoe’s owned and operated tech conference. The role blends marketing strategy, event management, and content curation to deliver a premium conference experience, meet attendance goals, and maintain our own and operated conference’s reputation as a high-quality tech gathering. You will own the tone, direction, experience, and conversations that define the event.

Key responsibilities: 1. Marketing Strategy & Growth

• Develop and execute marketing strategy to drive ticket sales and grow an audience of 500+ tech professionals
• Manage media and sponsor marketing to drive visibility and profitable growth
• Oversee digital and content marketing aligned to core technical themes to attract our audience

2. Program Curation & Speaker Experience

• Lead development of the multi-track program and manage the Call for Papers
• Ensure content meets the “deep tech, no sales pitch” standard
• Recruit and manage speakers while overseeing logistics and experience

3. Event Operations & Financial Oversight

• Manage logistics, including venue, catering, AV production, and vendor relationships
• Maintain and optimize conference budget and negotiate supplier contracts
• Oversee on-site execution, registration, and attendee experience

Qualifications

• 6+ years in marketing and end-to-end event management/production
• Proven experience delivering large-scale conferences
• Strong project management and operational execution skills
• Ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue
• Excellent communication skills for working with senior speakers and partners, professional proficiency in German.
