Operations Manager SEE (d/w/m)

HYROX – The World Series of Fitness Racing is a global sports event series born in Germany in 2017. We unite running and functional fitness into a unique competition format. Today, HYROX is a worldwide movement with events on five continents and tens of thousands of athletes competing every season.

To support our rapid expansion in South East Europe (SEE) , we are looking for a hands-on operations expert to build our infrastructure, secure our logistics, and ensure our events in Turkey, Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria run with military precision.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regional Structure & Expansion: You will architect the operational backbone for HYROX in the SEE region. This includes sourcing and negotiating with local providers for AV, structures, and trucking in Turkey, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary
• Warehouse Management: You are responsible for establishing and managing a new central warehouse structure (specifically in Greece), implementing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and overseeing inventory, maintenance, and kit preparation.
• Crew Leadership: You will recruit, build, and lead a dedicated Operations Crew (focus on Turkey) and manage on-site logistics staff, ensuring safety, efficiency, and team spirit.
• On-Site Execution: You are the Lead Operations Manager on-site for our events in the region. You supervise the entire build-up and break-down process, coordinate with production teams, and solve ad-hoc challenges under pressure.
• Technical Planning: Utilization of AutoCAD to oversee venue maps, placement of stages, and event infrastructure to ensure optimal flow and safety.
• Budget & Logistics: Comprehensive planning of load-in/load-out schedules, management of regional operations budgets, and coordination of complex travel and transport logistics across borders.

YOUR PROFILE

• Experience: Proven track record in event operations or logistics coordination for large-scale sporting events (e.g., Triathlon, Ironman, Marathons) or international productions.
• Regional Network: You are well-connected with suppliers and partners in the SEE region (TR, GR, RO, BG).
• Language Skills: You are fluent in Turkish and English (mandatory). Additional languages (Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian) are a strong plus.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Google Workspace/Office.
• Mindset: You have a "get things done" attitude, stay calm under pressure, and possess strong negotiation skills. You are willing to travel extensively (weekends and nights included).
• Qualifications: Valid driver’s license. Licenses for forklifts/scissor lifts and First Aid certification are desirable.
