Marketing Assistant (m/f/d) - Hamburg

About the role

We are looking for a Market Assistant to join our Hamburg office and support ConnectAd's regional marketing activities, event presence, and partner communications. This is a creative, highly organized role centred on coordinating trade shows, crafting compelling presentations, and aligning marketing efforts directly with our supply and demand partners. It is a fantastic entry point to build a career in B2B marketing, event management, or partner relations within the digital advertising industry.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning, logistics, and on-site execution of trade shows, industry events (such as DMEXCO or d3con), and local partner gatherings.
• Create, design, and update high-quality sales decks, partner presentations, and marketing collateral using PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other design tools.
• Coordinate joint marketing initiatives (co-marketing) with our publisher and demand partners, such as newsletters, case studies, or shared announcements.
• Support ConnectAd's general B2B marketing communications, including local updates, social media posts, and localized content.
• Assist the Hamburg-based commercial team with organizational marketing tasks, scheduling, and preparing materials for high-priority partner meetings.

Success metrics

• On-time, well-executed delivery of trade shows and industry events.
• Quality and turnaround time of sales decks, presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Number and consistency of co-marketing initiatives delivered with partners.
• Reach and engagement of B2B marketing communications and content.
• Feedback from the commercial team on organizational and administrative support.

Requirements

What You Bring

• First experience or training in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field (relevant internships are highly valued).
• Excellent organizational skills with a talent for handling logistics, event planning, and multi-tasking.
• A strong eye for design and layout, with proficiency in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides) or basic design software (Canva, etc.).
• Professional fluency in German (C1 level or above) and English (C1 level or above), both written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal skills — you enjoy reaching out to partners, coordinating with external vendors, and representing our brand.
• An interest in the digital media and programmatic advertising landscape.
• Location in or willingness to relocate to the Hamburg area.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience coordinating trade show booths, promotional materials, or corporate events.
• Basic understanding of B2B marketing principles.
• An additional European language at a B2 level or above.
• Basic knowledge of programmatic advertising and familiarity with the AdTech ecosystem.
• Prior experience working within digital advertising, media agencies, or technology platforms.
