Drive Innovation in Wind Energy as a Service Engineer for Product Development (m/f/d)

Are you ready to pivot your technical service expertise in the wind energy industry towards driving innovations in product development? As a seasoned professional with a passion for problem-solving and collaboration, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of wind turbines. In this role you will be part of a team of experienced wind turbine service professionals who ensure that the Service perspective is taken into account in new wind turbine product developments. You will analyse and understand new components and turbines and provide the Service point of view in the product development process, working closely with Engineering and other Nordex departments. With your help, new products will fit the Service needs.

YOUR TASKS

• Represent the Service team in strategic development projects, ensuring a seamless market launch from a Service perspective
• Proactively identify and address technical issues on prototypes and pre-series turbines, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to resolve them
• Develop and implement solutions for series problems in conjunction with development engineering, and present your findings to expert groups
• Design, plan, and execute technical workshops for local service organizations, and provide on-site support during market launches
• Collaborate with the local service organization, providing off-site support and ensuring smooth knowledge transfer

YOUR PROFILE

• A seasoned wind energy professional with extensive technical knowledge of wind turbines and several years of experience as a Master Technician, Supervisor, or Commissioner (mechanical or electrical)
• Methodical and analytical approach to work, with exceptional problem-solving skills
• Strong command of English, with additional Spanish being an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications and an excellent communicator with strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work at heights and willingness to travel internationally (on occasion)
