Clinician-Scientist (all genders) in neuroimmunological research
- Working on a research project in the field of translational neuroimmunology
- Development of independent research strategies and their realisation
- Completed scientific university degree in medicine and licence to practise medicine as well as a doctorate
- Prerequisite: Knowledge in the field of neurobiology, immunology or neuroimmunology; documentation of scientific achievements through publications (ideally including first authorships)
- Advantageous: 'Postdoc' time at a neurobiological or immunological research institution; bioinformatics skills; participation in clinical trials, epidemiological knowledge
- Very good written and spoken English, proficient in MS Office
- Strong scientific interest in molecular and cell biological questions or in clinical and rehabilitative studies in the field of translational neuroimmunology
- Ability to work in a team and to work purposefully on projects
- A personal cover letter (motivation letter, 1 A4 page)

- Relevant certificates (e.g. Approbation) and exam results
- Brief description of your research idea in the field of translational neuroimmunology (1 A4 page)

- 3-year position as Clinician Scientist within the MSfellows programme
- In the first year 100% protected research time, in the following two years 50% clinical training in neurology and 50% protected research time
- Independent research project on immunology, neurodegeneration or personalized treatment in multiple sclerosis with a possible range of methods from clinical research tomolecular biology to cell biology to in vivo models and with a strong translational focus
- Work in a translational research environment with close links to the Multiple Sclerosis Day Clinic and established structures such as a comprehensive biobank
- Support for personal development by a mentoring committee of internal and external clinical and scientific experts
- Opportunities for further scientific training with a focus on translational aspects of neuroimmunology with the aim of developing independent research strategies
