We are currently seeking an experienced

High Voltage (GIS) Technician (m/f/d)

Start date: TBC | Duration: TBC | Location / Assignment location: Netherlands (offshore) | Contract type: Freelance / B2B

You will support an offshore energy infrastructure project in the Netherlands on a freelance basis. The assignment is planned as an offshore deployment. Rotation and working pattern are to be confirmed and may vary depending on project requirements; weekend work may also be required.

As part of your role, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Work on the primary electrical power system, focusing on high-voltage equipment and associated line / switchgear sections
• Install, inspect, test and commission GIS switchgear, switchgear bays and other high-voltage components
• Carry out authorized switching operations and electrical work on systems up to 30 kV in line with project and safety procedures
• Perform technical inspections and quality checks of primary electrical equipment and document the results
• Coordinate with commissioning, secondary-technology and other project teams during installation, energization and handover
• Comply with offshore, electrical-safety and contractor requirements throughout the assignment

• Completed vocational qualification in electrical engineering, e.g. electrician for industrial engineering, energy systems electronics technician, high-voltage technician or a comparable qualification, including qualification as an electrically skilled person (EFK)
• Solid practical experience with primary electrical systems and high-voltage equipment, ideally in substations or offshore energy infrastructure
• Required: training for Gas Insulated Switchgear and practical GIS experience
• Required: switching authorization for electrical systems up to 30 kV
• Strong safety awareness, reliability and a structured, team-oriented way of working in an international offshore environment
