Product Manager (f/m/d) - FinTech for Social Care

Parto Group GmbH
Hamburg

You will build payment infrastructure for a sector that is running out of capacity and we are all depending on.

By 2050, 38 million people across the EU will need long-term care, and the sector already lacks the workforce to deliver it. Care organisations need technology that gives professionals more time for people. We build the payment infrastructure that makes this possible.

Your job: build and ship the products for it.

Parto is the all-in-one payments platform for social care organisations. We digitise cash, expense, and payment processes in youth services, disability support, and elderly care - making them simple, secure, and fully digital.

With Parto Visa cards and our software platform, care professionals can efficiently manage client funds, team budgets, and everyday operational expenses. We reduce administrative work, eliminate disconnected processes, and create lasting relief for care teams, administration, and finance departments.

Parto is backed by Motive Ventures New York/Berlin, Heal Capital Berlin and Shapers Lisbon, plus experienced business angels.

You will join an ambitious team whose experience includes Trade Republic, JPMorgan Chase, CHECK24 Bank, Strategy&, and Ruuky. Together, we are building a new category of financial software for one of society's most important sectors.

TASKS

As Product Manager at Parto, you will play a defining role in the future of our platform.

You will be our second product manager, working directly with our founder and CPO, alongside a product designer and an engineering team of 11. Small team, large surface area: your decisions ship.

You will build digital financial products for the social care sector and help modernise an industry that urgently needs better technology. Your work will solve real problems and shape how thousands of professionals manage money every day.

This is not a role in which requirements are handed to you. You will own initiatives from the first customer insight through discovery, prioritisation, delivery, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

You will work AI-native from day one. Every PM at Parto uses AI agents daily for discovery, analysis, specs, and delivery. We expect you to push what a single PM can own.

Together with engineering and product design, you will ensure that we solve the right problems and turn them into products that create measurable value.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of our users, their workflows, and their constraints than anyone else in the company.
  • Translate customer conversations, user feedback, product data, regulatory requirements, and company goals into clear product decisions.
  • Own and prioritise your roadmap based on outcomes and strategic leverage, and make difficult scope decisions while keeping your team moving at high speed.
  • Lead discovery and turn ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses, requirements, and measures of success.
  • Work closely with engineering and product design from the earliest idea through launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Own integrations with external partners and third-party systems, including the operational details required to make them successful.
  • Contribute to Parto's long-term product strategy and help define the category we intend to lead.

What success looks like in your first six months

Months 1-2: Understand and take ownership

You develop a detailed understanding of our users, product, business model, and technology. You establish strong relationships with customers and your engineering counterparts, challenge existing assumptions, and take ownership of your first product area.

Months 3-4: Ship and learn

You lead your first meaningful initiative from problem definition to launch. You establish clear success metrics, remove blockers quickly, and build a direct feedback loop between customers and the product team.

Months 5-6: Raise the bar

You independently drive your roadmap, make difficult prioritisation decisions, and demonstrate measurable impact. Your understanding of customers begins to shape Parto's broader product strategy.

We work with real startup intensity. The pace is high, the problems are unsolved, and the learning curve is steep. If you are looking for a quiet position with fixed instructions and a rigid scope, you will not be happy at Parto.

If you want to build a product category from the ground up, take real responsibility, and become better at your craft faster than almost anywhere else, we would love to meet you.

What working at Parto means

  • You make consequential decisions yourself and take responsibility for the results.
  • Feedback is direct, frequent, and expected in both directions.
  • You create clarity instead of waiting for perfect instructions.
  • You move quickly without compromising on the quality of important decisions.
  • You adapt when new evidence challenges the current plan.
  • The team supports you and trusts you to run your own scope.
REQUIREMENTS

Must-haves

  • At least three years of product management experience, ideally in FinTech, payments, or another complex B2B SaaS environment.
  • A strong track record of owning products or major initiatives end-to-end and delivering measurable customer or business impact.
  • The ability to turn complex and sometimes conflicting requirements into clear product decisions and priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence using qualitative and quantitative evidence to make decisions.
  • High agency and relentless ownership. You identify what matters, create a path forward, and stay with the problem until it is solved.
  • A hands-on mindset and the ability to move confidently between product strategy and operational detail.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and product designers in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
  • The ability to build trust with customers and manage internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
  • Technical fluency to discuss APIs, system integrations, data flows, dependencies, and technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Native German level and professional fluency in English, our company language.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in payments, banking, expense management, or card products.
  • Familiarity with accounting processes and financial reconciliation.
  • Experience with ERP integrations or mission-critical B2B software.
  • Experience building products in regulated environments.
  • Understanding of social care, healthcare, or other operationally complex service industries.

We do not expect you to match every item. We care more about your judgement, trajectory, and evidence of exceptional ownership than a perfectly linear CV.

BENEFITS

  • Build something that matters: Create a new category of software for a sector that is both economically important and socially essential.
  • Real ownership and impact: Your decisions will directly influence how hundreds of organisations and thousands of professionals work.
  • Accelerated personal growth: Receive direct feedback, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities to grow faster than in a narrowly defined role.

  • A greenfield environment: Shape the product, operating model, and culture while the most important decisions are still ahead of us.
  • Hamburg headquarters: We build together in person, from the heart of Hamburg. Hybrid is possible, remote is not.
  • Hardware of your choice: Choose the MacBook, setup, and equipment that help you do your best work.
  • 30+ days of annual leave: Time for proper rest and a life outside work.
  • Workations: Work temporarily from another location when it fits the team and your responsibilities.
  • Tax-free benefits: Receive additional funds for mobility, sports, and other personal benefits.

Does this sound like you? We would love to meet you.

Apply with your profile and two sentences answering the following question:

What was the last product or major initiative you truly owned - and what would you do differently if you built it again today?

No cover letter required.
