Accountant (m/f/d) - Full‑Time | Hamburg (Hybrid: On‑Site Tue-Thu)

Your mission

Working hours: 40 hours/week (5‑day week)
Location: Hamburg‑Ottensen

We are looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Accountant (m/f/d) to strengthen our Finance team in Hamburg. In this role, you will manage operational accounting processes, support compliance according to German GAAP (HGB) , collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to smooth month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
Our hybrid working model: Tuesday–Thursday in the office , with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Responsibilities

Bank & Treasury

• Manage and reconcile EUR bank accounts and related AR/AP transactions
• Support international payment and collection processes

E‑Commerce & Payment Reconciliation

• Reconcile online transactions across various payment providers and marketplaces
• Ensure accurate financial recording of all digital revenue streams

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable

• Process incoming invoices and prepare payment runs
• Oversee dunning processes and handle customer refunds with full documentation

Travel & Expense Management

• Review and process travel expenses and corporate credit card statements in line with company policy

General Accounting & Compliance

• Support accruals, invoicing workflows, and fixed asset accounting
• Assist in preparing VAT and tax documentation
• Contribute to monthly and annual financial closing according to HGB

Teamwide Support & Back‑Up

• Provide AP/AR support for additional bank accounts
• Assist with cash handling and reconciliation
• Offer transactional support to other Finance areas as needed

Your profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an internationally active company
• Strong knowledge of HGB and VAT regulations
• Confident using MS Office (especially Excel) and common accounting systems
• Structured, precise working style and strong team orientation
• Very good English language skills (written and spoken)
