Procurement Specialist - Direct Materials (m/f/d)
- Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers to support operational and development needs.
- Support Global Sourcing Managers with the negotiation and procurement of BOM materials, including metal commodities, and ensure effective implementation of POs, consignment, and contracts.
- Manage supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, technology, and service to maintain a high-performing, competitive supply base.
- Ensure continuous supply is maintained into the Sites
- Contribute to the execution of commodity sourcing strategies at site level, ensuring alignment with global procurement objectives.
- Conduct market research and analyse spend categories to inform negotiation strategies and drive value creation.
- Provide commercial insights to stakeholders, ensuring requirements are met while maintaining a competitive sourcing environment.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production teams to deliver annual cost-reduction and sourcing project targets.
- Support project management activities, including supplier onboarding, qualification sample coordination, and new development communication.
- Ensure effective alignment between suppliers and internal teams to support operational and development programmes.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of efficient end-to-end procurement processes and strong internal controls.
- Benchmark procurement practices against industry leaders and drive strategic initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' procurement experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment with direct materials
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
- Confident analysing and presenting numerical data, with strong problem-solving ability
- Effective communicator with excellent English skills and the ability to collaborate across countries and time zones
- Skilled in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
- Able to prioritise, adapt quickly, and work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in process improvement, change management, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Exposure to the Semiconductor Industry
- Experience working with chemicals, gases or technical procurement
