We employ around 500 professionals who are active across Europe with offices in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom to drive the energy transition together. Our role in Vattenfall is to maximize the value of the overall portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging, and sourcing for Vattenfall's sales and generation volumes. We serve as Vattenfall’s single access to energy commodity markets and trade electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates.
In BA Markets the mission of the Unit OU Operations is to drive the digital transformation. OU Operations consists of diverse and highly skilled employees from more than 20 countries. We work internationally from our locations in Stockholm, Hamburg and Amsterdam.

Our Intraday business is expanding, and our IT landscape supporting that has a growing need for the fittest solutions.
The team you can join works closely with business – our intraday traders – and takes the leading role in supplying custom developed solutions. It is working in sprints within a solid SCRUM framework.
Your main tasks and responsibilities as Software Engineer :
- Development of new functionalities in our Intraday Landscape applications
- Always have a strong focus on testing (e.g. unit tests) to enable high available and flawless 24/7 operations
- Responsibility of the full application life cycle including maintenance
- Bug fixing and operational support for the Intraday traders as well as identifying common patterns advising the product owner on product improvements
- Maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Learn our business and identify requirements together with business partners
- Working in agile teams - in this case a mature scrum team
Qualifications
Your Profile
- A graduate degree such as Bachelor in Information Technology/Management, Engineering or other related field or comparable professional experience
- Key technical knowledge requirements:
- At least 2 years of Experience with Angular, TypeScript, .Net Core, .Net, C#
- NgRx and RxJS
- Cloud Native development
- NoSQL databases
- Additional beneficial technical skills and knowledge
- Microsoft Azure, Terraform, SQL Server, Kubernetes, Service Bus, Eventhub, Kafka, Rest API, Git, VS Code, DevOps
- Excellent communication skills and being a team player
- Strong analytics skills
- Proficient in English
- Knowledge of German at any level would be beneficial.
- Experience in agile software development method (Scrum) is welcome.
- Ideally basic knowledge in energy trading and/or willing to acquire it.
