Senior Finance Business Partner (m/w/d)
Your tasks

• Act as the finance business partner for two new businesses and one international start up, and provide the key insights into their financial and operational performance.
• Serve as a sparring partner for the business owners on financial considerations and investment decisions.
• Develop and own the business cases for your units in close collaboration with the business and other functions such as Marketing, Product and Operations, from framing the question and building the model through to reviewing actual results against the original case.
• Maintain and refresh the business case along the planning calendar, in depth for budget and strategic review and in a lighter form for the forecast cycles.
• Own the monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting process for your units and continuously improve financial projections and operational forecasts.
• Develop and review strategic options within financial planning, supported by financial outlooks and scenario analyses.
• Prepare the monthly results, the board level reporting and the underlying analyses so that the business owners can present and defend them with confidence.
• Challenge business assumptions and enforce financial discipline.
• Build the financial structures, definitions and reporting logic that young businesses do not have yet.

What you offer us

• 5+ years of experience in finance business partnering or FP&A, ideally in a digital or ecommerce environment
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial projections
• Confident with investment appraisal methods such as net present value, payback and sensitivity analyses, and able to build a business case from scratch
• Strong analytical skills and genuine comfort with large data sets, ideally with SQL and direct data warehouse access, Tableau and a corporate planning tool such as Tagetik
• Comfortable working with young businesses where history is short, data is incomplete and structures still need to be created
• Experience in preparing material for board and executive level audiences, and the ability to simplify complex financial matters
• Proactive, hands on and service oriented, a team player who also works independently
• Strong communication skills, including in a virtual and international setting
