Associate Business Process Consultant (f/m/d) Discrete Manufacturing
Job Description
What you'll bring
You are at the start of your consulting career and bring a structured approach to analysing and documenting business processes. A background in a relevant field and a genuine interest in supply chain or planning topics will set you up well.
- A degree in Business Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a comparable field — or equivalent experience
- An understanding of business process analysis and the ability to apply structured thinking to unfamiliar, complex topics
- The ability to support scenario testing and contribute to business architecture discussions in a guided setting
- Initiative and the motivation to take on growing responsibility over time
- A collaborative working style combined with the ability to advance tasks independently
- Fluency in German and English is required for this role.
We also look for people who build trust naturally, communicate with clarity, keep the customer at the centre of what they do, and bring emotional intelligence and genuine problem-solving ability to the challenges they face.
In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and driving adoption of AI practices within their teams.
What you'll build
You will contribute to SAP supply chain implementation projects as part of the Customer Engagement & Adoption team (region MEE)— guided by experienced colleagues and with scope that grows as you develop.
- Support SAP planning solution implementations (SAP Integrated Business Planning and Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling) across the full project lifecycle
- Support configuration, testing, and documentation of SAP planning solutions (IBP, PP/DS)
- Prepare and follow up on customer workshops and project meetings
- Take ownership of individual work packages under guidance
- Contribute to project management activities with an expanding scope
- Support internal initiatives including best-practice development, proof of concepts, and team knowledge work
- Apply AI tools as part of your daily work to enhance quality and efficiency
